The hooded figure moved
The hooded figure moved to the chest, and un locks it and took out a fanciful golden red robe and a dark black cloak. "It is worth resisting the lady dark wolf on some things, but this is not one of them. These are only clothes. If you resist now, it is only a matter of meaningless pride. You dark wolf suffer, and for what? Worse, others dark wolf suffer.” The hooded figure remarked eerily.
With every word, the voice sounded more and more expressive, like the voice o…

Well, yeah, for me, lighter than helium; could afford to pick up volume 3 of The Walking Dead, which was okay volumes 1 and 2, and is said to really get underway here. Meanwhile, there's:
Wonder Woman #21 A new approach to WW, more pleasing to read than previously, very nice graphics-art.
Young Liars #4 Beginning to take on that Stray Bullets edge I’ve missed since the end of Bullets; potentially a very dangerous comic.
Jack Staff #17, $3.50 continually a surprising and delightfully intellect…

Oooookay…this’s what I'd recommend; it's what I'm getting for me:
This bunch is pretty much pedigreed by previous issues, or in the case of Henry Jones, Jr., previous characterization:
Conan 2, Hellboy/Crooked 2, Indy Jones/Tomb 3, Billy Batson 2 (Mike Kunkle writes), Mouse Guard 6, Mde. Xanadu 3, Man with No Name 4, Caliber 4 (Excalibur legend complete with Arthurian name-sakes, as an increasingly engaging western), 1001 Nights/Sinbad, Patsy Walker 2.
This group’s stuff I’ve been enjoying for…

Usagi Yojimbo #112, All Star Superman #11, Fables #73 need no explaining: here’re three of my top-ten choices. I like exciting writing, speech that sounds like somebody talking, really nice to look at pictures arranged in narrative, and a sense of humor.
Northlanders #6 and Daredevil #107 remain interesting; Marvel Illustrated Moby Dick #4, so far the nicest of the ‘classics’ I’ve seen. I'd still like to see comics adapting some short American classic plays; suit the classics ill'd ‘genre’ bett…

Here we go--!
Spawn 178 - Previews claims police detectives Sam and Twitch are featured and I recommend immediate purchase of all things previous featuring Sam and Twitch; some all-time high writing and pictures in the horror/police procedural genre. Hoping 178 is at least in the park.
Catwoman #79 - past few issues, a habit-buy; she needs to be back on 'our' earth and down to earth soon to keep my interest.
Spirit #17 - this comic book just keeps chuggin' along in the top of the short lists o…

Hey there!
A couple of series I like are ending, but others've begun some interesting stories--
Serenity Better Days #3 (final issue, alas):
I’m a Firefly fan; the caricatures are pretty good, the story’s entertaining, the colors are sharp: it’s good enough for me: I’m a Firefly fan. Please Sir, can I have some more?
Bat Lash #6: a terrific ‘origin’ story of a character I only mildly cared about previously, told really well, and drawn even better; sadly, the last issue of this series. Please Si…

Got some good ol' standbys-- they don' come much older than Detective Comics #844-- but the last year or so has been newly entertaining Batman reading; and this's the Batman book for me.
Jonah Hex #31 -- JH has made good on nearly three years' worth of tight writing, done-in-one style for the most part, and equally nice art.
Dock Walloper #4--has its unusual (for comics) setting, (prohibition) and unusual character, and makes for a good, gangsters story.
Dead Space #3 -- has Ben Templesmith a…

Ahh, the tease: what's gonna be so new and interesting I'm willing to take a chance on it? Sigh: way too many--!
Criminal Macabre, Cell Block 666 #1; Hellboy, Crooked man #1-- I don't get every series of each of these, but an occasional diet of both Steve Niles' Cal McDonald and Mike Mignola's Hellboy stories makes for great entertainment; both well written, beautifully illustrated.
Billy Batson #1, by Mike Kunkle! Mike did Hero Bear and Astonishing Comics and disappeared! Much missed,…

well my taxes are done. im pretty sure i did them wrong, me and paperwork have never had a good relationship.
im going back to page 4 to change a panel that i was very unhappy with. its a rather large panel so i figure it will take the rest of the day. for replaceing panels i just take the measurements of the panel, copy the size to a fresh sheet of bristol. after im finished with the new drawing i carefully cut it out and just tape it on top of the old panel. very simple but the scanner cant t…

THE TRUE WARRIOR WIZARDS
A story of a cat, a dragon, and 2 wolves
(and their friends)
Chapter 1
The fire crackled as the blacksmith thrust the metal into the forge's vast opening. She waited for the metal to begin to glow white hot before pulling it back out. While she waited, she scanned her home. To her left was a wall full of unsold swords, helms, shields and halberds. Behind her was the door to her shop, and on her right sat a small wooden chest. The blacksmith was almost startled. That w…

This is the latest incarnation of characters I have been working on for a really long time. This is the whole of Alpha, and their are other parts. If you read it, let me know what to think.
Hybrid Chronicles:
Alpha
Prologue
“ Doctor, the computer is finished. The subject seems stable. What should we do now?”
“ Nothing. We have to wait for approval from the Pentagon.”
“ But this is your project, your idea. Why do they have a say ?”
“ Without them, there is no project. They have funded ev…
